President Donald Trump made it crystal clear to Saudi Arabia on Thursday: if the kingdom wants a blockbuster U.S. civilian nuclear package, it has to put its signature on the historic Abraham Accords.
Trump’s ultimatum came after a groundbreaking 30-year Section 123 Agreement signed between U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman. The deal lays out a blueprint for American energy giants, such as Westinghouse, to go to the Middle East and export reactors, high-tech engineering, and scientific expertise to help Riyadh move away from oil so it can power its AI data center explosion.
