Desire with the expectation that it can be obtained gives us hope. Unless hope is big enough to survive success it brings sadness, apathy, an empty circle in the life of mankind. The only thing worth living for is what you are willing to die for. Do each of us have that kind of hope?

The parable of the Prodigal son depicts the way God the Father wants us to act in our relationships. This parable is reviewed in detail in highlighting eight relationship principles that comes directly from God.

God can love everyone but we in our human condition can only love a few persons well. Relationships die because of neglect/inattention. Jesus in the flesh loved a few people boldly, with narrowly focused love, that left a legacy to turn mankind to God. We need to decide upon who we can give our primary focus (concentrated care) to, just as Jesus did, as our example to follow.

The goal for this sermon is giving God and Christ praise. We know God will do great things in the future as He has done in the past. We have the honor to show God that we know Him now and He knows us. We will work with God in His kingdom. We have to trust and wait on God.
Mr. Wallace Lawton 09-28-2018
Learning to deny self is a lifelong process. We must think about anger, its effects on relationships, and how to deal with it according to God’s will. We must choose to respond in a way that breaks expressions of anger. Several scriptures describe how Jesus practiced what He preached. He is our example to follow.

Every relationship is a collision between individuals. Everyone of us has experienced this. This sermon discusses the art of “tender collisions”, and explore new ways of relating to people. It is not enough to want change in a relationship unless we act for change.

This sermon addresses how there will be no safety from the coming plagues except in the Place of Safety. Both natural and engineered pathogens have and will be used by mankind to inflict death. The book of Haggai contains powerful prophesies for the future. We need to be aware of these prophesies.

Why are we here at the Feast of Tabernacles? This feast pictures God’s master plan for mankind. The angels had incredible potential but failed. Now it is man’s turn to triumph. The earth was the proving ground for the angels who failed, and now it is our turn to develop the character of God. We need to consider our real motivation this year for being a part of the God family.
