The Feast Of Atonement 2017 – Revisited

One main tool Satan uses to cause division is pride. Pride is behind the division seen in the world, and in the church today. Pride is what is also seen by others, in the sins of the flesh, that separate us from God. Pride is the opposite of humility. If pride is the issue, humility is the answer. The Feast of Atonement is an opportunity for us to contemplate on and be thankful for God’s plan of salvation.

Leviticus 23: 23-32 provides instructions on Atonement. A future Millennial Atonement is pictured with Christ, as our High Priest, dealing with the two goats. One depicts Satan’s false religious system being destroyed, and the other Satan himself, being put away for 1000 years. Atonement kicks off the Feast of Tabernacles in which Satan is out of the way.

The Day of Atonement ceremony performed in Leviticus 16 pictures events in the Day of the Lord during and immediately after the return of Christ and the Firstfruits. The first goat represents Satan’s evil system of deception which is destroyed at Christ’s return. The second goat depicts Satan who will be banished for 1000 years, and ultimately to be destroyed by God at the end of the Millenium.
