How To Have Effective And Fervent Prayer – Revisited

Mr. John Durrad  12-23-2023

Effectual and fervent prayer avails much. Lack of daily prayer is NOT an option for God’s people, as prayers are needed to produce actions.

Ideas to produce effectual and fervent prayer are:

  1. Be persistent – continually petition to God, be devoted to prayer.
  2. Use a prayer outline e.g. the Father’s prayer.
  3. Pray with real believing faith – expect and be confident that God hears our prayers. Put work into prayers and prayers will work!
  4. Keep God’s laws, and the Father and Christ will listen.

How Well Do You Know God? – Revisited

Mr. John Durrad  12-16-2023  (from 10-02-2021)

Everything is worthless compared to knowing God. God is omnipresent (everywhere at once), omnipotent (all powerful), and omniscient(all knowing). We get to know Him by frequent contact with Him and with our brethren. Through prayer, bible study, meditation and fasting, we acquire and are able to use the mind of God in all we do. Building a relationship with God requires love, commitment, trust and obedience to God’s laws.

Romans 15:4 – Revisited

Mr. Robert Ardis   11-05-2023 (from 12-20-2008)

God’s Word provides us written instructions for our learning. Today we walk by faith not by sight. In Matt 8:5-10 Jesus was impressed with the faith of the centurion, who did not require Jesus to come to the bedside of his ill servant, to believe Christ could heal him. What is our faith like?

We are to work out our own salvation. In particular our keeping of the Sabbath is something we need to examine on a continuous basis.
