We have a royal standard to uphold as King-priests in training. This involves thinking spiritually on the God level now, learning God’s standards of living now, being servants of God from the heart, and being trustworthy and dependable in prayer, bible study, tithing, fasting, etc.

We must continue to keep the vision that we are to be God’s royalty in His coming kingdom. This is hard for us to fully appreciate now in our present human state, however God has pre-destinated us to this position before the world began. What we must ask ourselves now, is what we are going to do individually with this invitation? This vision must be our driving force in the difficult times ahead.

The last three chapters of the book of Daniel address the final vision given to Daniel concerning a time of great trouble to come, and the numbered days for the time of the end. Many key individuals and prophets of the bible have had to wait on the Eternal to see this prophesy fulfilled. As we too wait on God, we have longer to grow in the grace and knowledge of God as He perfects us further.

As heirs with Christ we are being offered everything by God! Noah, Daniel and Job are described as righteous men in the bible. We need to learn and practice the righteous behaviours demonstrated by these men and mentioned in the bible as examples for us to follow.

The weightier matters of the law are judgement, mercy and faith. This sermon looks at mercy which is “love in action”. Numerous scriptures show how God loves those who love Him and who keep His commandments. To be forgiven we must be merciful. Will God show His mercy to his faithful servants, and leave a “blessing” behind on the 24th day of the sixth month, which will be coming soon?

As one of “the weightier matters of the law,” faith is complete confidence in God, and without it we cannot please Him. It is a shield against all fiery darts, i.e., trials and temptations. It gives us power, and is a requirement for forgiveness of our sins. We are commanded to have faith and not to doubt.

We do not want to provoke God as our forefathers did. We must be faithful and worthy to go to the place of safety. The bible has many scriptures that describe the rewards of being faithful to the end. Prove God in keeping His promises for proper tithing and keeping of all God’s commandments and Feast days.

Sin is a power and a living force in our lives. Sin also is a cancerous condition in our human nature which picks up momentum if left unchecked. Our responsibility is to completely eliminate sin and to be in a constant state of repentance.

How do I grade my faith? How far along on the path to righteousness am I? Do I have a good report with the Father and Christ? We must continually keep our faith and grow in it.
