Concerns mount as research shows an already declining fertility rate. In light of the discovery, Students for Life of America (SFLA) is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studentsforlife.org\/2026\/07\/24\/peer-reviewed-study-out-testing-shows-abortion-drug-mifepristone-in-drinking-water\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">urging<\/a>\u00a0the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to respond to the data by regulating the levels of mifepristone in drinking water.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The study was conducted by researchers Elise Rose and Michael Varveris who submitted the peer-reviewed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/issuesinlawandmedicine.com\/articles\/anti-progesterone-in-environmental-water\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">study<\/a>\u00a0in the journal \u201cIssues of Law &amp; Medicine.\u201d They found such drugs in tap water and in both treated and untreated city water.
