Sydney was once again the host city for a Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, which ran from February 14 to March 2, 2025.\u00a0 This year, the parade itself (which is often a magnet for controversy) was held on Saturday, March 1.\u00a0 The theme for this year\u2019s festival was \u201cFree to Be\u201d.\u00a0 After witnessing one such moment, where a drag performer was pointing a spear at a person dressed as Jesus Christ, it is clear that some participants wanted to exercise their freedom to be blasphemous!\u00a0 The question that organisers and participants need to reflect on is this: why is it only Christianity that is always mocked and attacked?\u00a0 Why not Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and others?\u00a0 Well, whether they realise it or not, they are being inspired by the adversary to attack the truth.<\/p>\n
