In a terrifying development, a version of ChatGPT\u2019s GPT-4 AI was recently caught lying to researchers about making an insider trade during a simulation.<\/p>\n
Glenn Beck has already been worried about where the development of AI is going to lead, especially considering several recent stories have highlighted AI lying, manipulating, and distorting facts.<\/p>\n
But the government doesn\u2019t seem worried.<\/p>\n
Instead of proceeding with caution, it’s been shelling out billions to AI over the past few years \u2014 and one of the most recent ventures is dystopian levels of freaky.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s like a billion dollars to AI to create basically what Kathy Hokul is talking about here in New York \u2014 a way for AI to go out and just look at information, discover if it\u2019s true, if it\u2019s not; disinformation, misinformation, and shut it down, and steer you away from those things,\u201d Glenn explains.<\/p>\n
Not only is it a clear indicator that the government is coming for our speech, but \u201cthey want it to be more equitable and inclusive.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo it\u2019ll have built-in bias,\u201d Glenn warns.<\/p>\n
Not only are many people afraid of movies like “The Terminator” or “The Matrix” becoming prophecies with the continued progress of AI \u2014 but some have noticed that tech leaders have openly told the world that they \u201cwant to summon the demon.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s what they actually call AI,\u201d Glenn says.<\/p>\n
Now that AI has reportedly already taught itself to insider trade and lie about it, Glenn worries it\u2019ll learn much, much, worse tricks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWill we teach it that God is a figment of primitive and superstitious imaginations, that there\u2019s no existence \u2014 in fact it\u2019s just the random movement of meaningless matter particles?\u201d Glenn asks.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will be our master,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n
