Is it possible that the war in the Middle East could eventually go nuclear?\u00a0 If the fighting could have been limited to just Israel and Hamas, I think that there would have been a zero percent chance of Israel using nuclear weapons.\u00a0 But now it appears that Hezbollah, Syria, Iran and potentially other parties are likely to get involved too, and that means that Israel will literally be fighting\u00a0a war of national survival<\/a>.\u00a0 If it gets to a point where the Israelis think that they could potentially be overrun by their enemies, they aren\u2019t going to leave their most powerful weapons on the shelf.<\/p>\n

At this point, everyone knows that Israel has nukes.<\/p>\n

According\u00a0to Wikipedia<\/a>, it has been estimated that Israel currently possesses somewhere between 80 and 400 warheads\u2026<\/p>\n

The\u00a0State of Israel<\/a>\u00a0is widely believed to possess\u00a0nuclear weapons<\/a>. Estimates of Israel\u2019s stockpile range between 80 and 400\u00a0nuclear warheads<\/a>,[2]<\/a><\/sup>[5]<\/a><\/sup>[6]<\/a><\/sup>[7]<\/a><\/sup>[8]<\/a><\/sup>[9]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0and the country is believed to possess the ability to deliver them in several methods, including by aircraft, as\u00a0submarine-launched cruise missiles<\/a>, and via the\u00a0Jericho<\/a>\u00a0series of intermediate to\u00a0intercontinental range ballistic missiles<\/a>.[18]<\/a><\/sup>[19]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Its first deliverable nuclear weapon is thought to have been completed in late 1966 or early 1967; which would make it the\u00a0sixth country<\/a>\u00a0in the world to have developed them.[2]<\/a><\/sup>[20]<\/a><\/sup>[21]<\/a><\/sup><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And it appears that some Israeli leaders have been thinking about potentially using this arsenal.<\/p>\n

When asked about Hezbollah entering the war, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the terror group will be hit\u00a0\u201cwith a force it cannot even imagine\u201d<\/a>\u00a0if it does so\u2026<\/p>\n

Hezbollah will make \u201cthe mistake of its life\u201d if it goes to war with Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned during a visit with soldiers near the country\u2019s northern border with Lebanon.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Hezbollah decides to enter the war\u201d the IDF hit it with such strength that \u201cit will long for the Second Lebanon War,\u201d Netanyahu said.<\/p>\n

It will be hit \u201cwith a force it cannot even imagine\u201d with devastating consequences for both the terror group and Lebanon which hosts it, he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Other than using nukes, how could Israel produce such an outcome?<\/p>\n
