Actress and Broadway star Patti LuPone said during her Tuesday appearance on The View that she has \u201cno idea what the difference is\u201d between \u201cour Christian right and the Taliban.\u201d<\/p>\n
After being asked what she thought about \u201cDeSantis and the LGBTQ,\u201d LuPone said, \u201cThat is extremely upsetting. These are human beings. And I could cry. They\u2019re not harming anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know why he\u2019s doing this,\u201d LuPone said of Florida Gov. Ron (R). \u201cAnd I said this before, and I\u2019m going to get in trouble, but I have said this before, and it\u2019s been in print: I don\u2019t know what the difference between our Christian right and the Taliban is. I have no idea what the difference is.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI just don\u2019t know what the difference is. What\u2019s happening in this country right now in the name of religion is so dangerous,\u201d the Heist star continued. \u201cAnd it\u2019s not this country. It\u2019s not America.\u201d<\/p>\n
