WND News Services<\/a> – March 15, 2021<\/p>\n In \u201c1984,\u201d George Orwell\u2019s famous novel about a nightmarish future society, the main character Winston Smith runs afoul of the ruling \u201cParty\u201d for insisting that \u201ctwo plus two make four.\u201d Only after being tortured by those in power does he come around to agreeing that, of course, \u201ctwo plus two make five.\u201d<\/p>\n America in 2021 has become Orwell\u2019s \u201c1984\u201d \u2013 and nowhere more so than in the nation\u2019s schools.<\/p>\n In New York City, math education Professor Laurie Rubel claims the whole notion that \u201c2+2=4\u201d is one that \u201creeks of white supremacist patriarchy.\u201d How is that remotely possible?
