With the United States’ Independence Day coming up next weekend, I’d like to use one of their typical fireworks shows as an illustration of the war between Israel and Iran. There was an opening flurry of fireworks that got the attention of everyone. Then, for the next long period of time, a steady stream of aerial explosions took place, punctuated now and then with multiple blasts designed to draw out the “Ooos” and “Aaahs” of the onlookers. As the show came to a conclusion, the finale wowed the onlookers with both the quantity and quality of fireworks, eliciting applause, cheers, and a great sense of patriotism.
