Boko Haram militants raided Christian communities in the northeastern part of Nigeria last week, displacing more than 1,500 people.
During the early morning raid in the villages of Shikarkir and Yirmirmug, the militants, aspiring to institute an Islamic caliphate, threatened Christians that if they refused to convert to Islam, they would face death. The militants killed eight Christians and destroyed 57 homes. A church known as Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa was ravaged, as well as food supplies, livelihood and livestock, International Christian Concern (ICC) reported.

The Trump administration on Thursday ordered the General Services Administration (GSA) to “cancel every single media contract” by the end of the day.
The email follows shocking findings from DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency, namely that legacy media outlets were taking in millions of dollars from the federal government through mass subscription contracts. For example, the federal government paid more than $8 million to Politico last year alone for the outlet’s Politico Pro service.
“GSA team, please do two things,” the email, which was first obtained by Axios, reads. “Pull all contracts for Politico, BBC, E&E (Politico sub) and Bloomberg. Pull all media contracts for just GSA – cancel every single media contract today for GSA only.”

President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he had terminated most members of the Board of Trustees at the Kennedy Center — including Chairman David Rubenstein — and had taken over the role himself.

President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will sign an executive order to create a task force that will “eradicate anti-Christian bias” from the federal government.
The 45th and 47th president made the announcement at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., adding that Attorney General Pam Bondi will lead the task force in rooting out “anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government.”
