The Gatestone Institute headline was stunning — almost overwhelming — too big to take in all at once. “380,000,000 Christians Persecuted for ‘Their Faith’: Where Is the Outrage?”

 

The May 11th article by Raymond Ibrahim said, “The global persecution of Christians has reached unprecedented levels.” Mr. Ibrahim cited the latest numbers from the respected Christian human rights organization, Open Doors. That was the source of the staggering number in the headline. Think about it again. Open Doors’ 2025 World Watch List says, “More than 380 million Christians suffer high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith.”

Members of the European Parliament, a Christian legal agency, and other experts convened to discuss the dangers of the Digital Services Act (DSA), a European Union law nicknamed by some as the “Digital Surveillance Act.”

 

Co-hosted by ADF International and European Parliament members Stephen Bartulica and Virginie Joron, the “The Digital Services Act and Threats to Freedom of Expression” conference was held May 21 in Brussels, Belgium, after the U.S. Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor voiced concern about the law’s effect on free speech.

Two Chinese nationals have been charged with conspiracy, fraud, and smuggling a deadly bio pathogen into the United States.

 

United States Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon, Jr. announced that 33-year-old Yunqing Jian and 34-year-old Zunyong Liu, both citizens of the People’s Republic of China, were arrested on various conspiracy charges, which included smuggling “a fungus called Fusarium graminearum, which scientific literature classifies as a potential agroterrorism weapon.”

Some of the most advanced artificial intelligence models have been trying to subvert or disobey commands from their users in order to complete their assigned goals.

A study published by Apollo Research looked at AI programs from Meta, Anthropic, and OpenAI and found that advanced AI models were capable of scheming or lying and that they took actions to disable mechanisms that would prevent oversight.

PBS’ “Sesame Street” garnered a heap of negative reactions online after celebrating gay Pride Month for yet another year.

Viewers immediately responded to a post from the show that read, “On our street, everyone is welcome. Together, let’s build a world where every person and family feels loved and respected for who they are. Happy #PrideMonth!”

It is with a heart filled with sorrow that I address you today regarding the horrific antisemitic shooting that took place last night in Washington, DC, resulting in the tragic deaths of two Israeli Embassy staffers, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim. Our hearts ache for the victims, their families, and the entire Jewish community devastated by this act of pure hatred. This young couple, about to be engaged, had their lives brutally cut short by an individual fueled by antisemitism.

The sky was clear blue — a deep, beautiful Israeli blue. The landscape that stretched before me encompassed 8,000 Jewish people wending their way together toward their destination — Auschwitz, one of the most prominent extermination camps of the Nazi regime, infamous for its optimal performance of systematic murder.

This scene is forever etched in my memory, as I had the privilege to join a diverse representation of Jewish people from around the world at the 2024 “March of the Living” in Poland.

What do you think of when you hear the word “occult”?  Opinions differ as to the broad range of activities falling under this banner but, in essence, it refers to the supernatural powers or practices relating to that which is hidden, secret, and mysterious.  For many people, their foray into occultic practices often begins out of curiosity.  For example, people may see a Ouija board as harmless fun, before quickly realising that the power behind such practices is dark and demonic.
