After Israel killed the head of the Iranian emergency military command and then took out his successor three days later, the Iranian government decided to keep the name of the new commander of the unit private.

Apparently, it didn’t work.

The Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, had other plans.

On July 13, in the opening strike of its war with Iran, Israel killed Gholam Ali Rashid; three days later, it killed his replacement, Ali Shadmani, Ynet News noted. That prompted the Iranian government to keep the name of the next replacement secret.

Multiple people are reportedly dead in Central Texas after a flash flood raised the Guadalupe River to its second-highest recorded level in history on Friday morning.

“This is a very dangerous and life-threatening flood event along the Guadalupe River! Move to higher ground! The National Weather Service in Austin and San Antonio stated. “More than 14 inches of rain have fallen in portions of San Angelo in the last 24 hours,” FOX West Texas reported at 9 a.m. Friday.

Irish Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister and former Prime Minister Simon Harris introduced a bill titled the General Scheme of the Israeli Settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (Prohibition of Importation of Goods) Bill. It was passed by the Irish government and now must be approved by the Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade for Pre-Legislative Scrutiny, the Jerusalem Post reported.

A new abortion business in Chicago is brazenly advertising its willingness to abort preborn babies up to 34 weeks into pregnancy, making it the only late-term abortion facility in the Midwest and one of the few in the nation.

The ironically named Hope Clinic opened June 2, according to the Chicago Tribune. It will perform abortions up to 10 weeks beyond what the medical community has long held as the point of viability (around 24 weeks).

With the United States’ Independence Day coming up next weekend, I’d like to use one of their typical fireworks shows as an illustration of the war between Israel and Iran. There was an opening flurry of fireworks that got the attention of everyone. Then, for the next long period of time, a steady stream of aerial explosions took place, punctuated now and then with multiple blasts designed to draw out the “Ooos” and “Aaahs” of the onlookers. As the show came to a conclusion, the finale wowed the onlookers with both the quantity and quality of fireworks, eliciting applause, cheers, and a great sense of patriotism.
