Bible kerfuffle stuns Texas parents, leaves school district scrambling to explain

Aschool district in Texas has scrambled to explain to parents why officials temporarily removed the Bible from school library shelves over concerns about its supposedly “sexually explicit” content.

This month, Superintendent Darryl Flusche apparently confirmed in an email to the Christian Post that Canyon Independent School District, which includes the south side of Amarillo, had removed “the full text of the Bible” from district libraries in an effort to comply with HB 900, a law designed to keep inappropriate sexual content out of Texas classrooms.

Christian School Shooter Manifesto Documents Family Breakdown

Just days before Christian students’ scheduled vacation to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, a lonely and radicalized high school student opened fire inside Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, killing two people and wounding six more. Police say 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow, who went by the name “Samantha,” opened fire with a 9mm handgun during study hall before turning the gun on herself. Now, an apparent manifesto shows the child’s turbulent home life, isolation, adoption of neo-Nazi views, idolization of school shooters, and her wish to further “evolution” drove her to the brink.

Faith and Football: Christian Values Shine in the NFL This Week

It’s an exciting time of year for football fans. The College Football Playoff games have officially begun, and as the NFL season is nearing an end, we’re learning which teams will land a place in a postseason and which ones will have to settle for better draft picks. But off the field, I’ve noticed something else happening over the past week: a strong outpouring of Christian faith.

It’s not unusual to see football players pray before or after a game or thank God when they win. (And how many times have we heard the tired old atheist line about how God doesn’t care about football games? Don’t get me started on that…) But something about this week felt a little different. Maybe it’s the Christmas spirit. I know people love to rag on the NFL for everything from its woke initiatives to some of the players’ criminal behavior, but I’ve always felt like the good far outweighs the bad within the sport. The good just doesn’t always get as much attention. And, quite frankly, it’s refreshing to see these men with this huge platform fearlessly speak out about their beliefs.

Signs of Revival: Is the West Returning to Christianity?

We’ve heard a prevailing narrative that Americans are drifting away from faith in general and Christianity more specifically. For a long time, we’ve seen interviews with celebrities who grew up in Christian homes but now consider themselves “spiritual but not religious.” Surveys make a big deal out of how many Americans consider themselves “nones.”

Europe and the rest of the West have seen a decline in religious faith even longer than we have. So much of what we used to call “Christendom” is irreligious, except for the infiltration of Muslims.

‘Never Say You’ve Seen It All’: Judge Hands Down Sentences to Men Convicted of Abusing Their Adopted Sons

OXFORD, Georgia — LGBTQ activists William Dale Zulock and Zachary Jacoby Zulock were sentenced last week to 100 years in prison each, followed by life on probation, for “routinely” raping their young, adopted, special-needs sons, producing “homemade” child pornography of the abuse, and inviting nearby pedophiles in the Atlanta area to “double penetrate” their two children, ages 9 and 10 at the time of rescue.

“I tell people never say you’ve seen it all. Because in this line of work, you will yet again be reminded of the depths of depravity and men’s ability and willingness to engage in unspeakable cruelty to other humans,” said Judge Jeffrey L. Foster, who handed down their punishments at Thursday’s sentencing hearing.

Shoplifters in California Arrested Under New Prop 36 Rules Are Shocked to Find That Stealing Is a Crime

On Nov. 5, despite near-universal opposition from their state’s Democratic legislative majority, California residents passed Proposition 36, which made felonies out of some misdemeanors like shoplifting and forced many drug addicts off the streets and into treatment programs.

The measure passed by a 70% majority. Californians had seen enough of soaring retail theft, homelessness, drug deaths, and the breakdown of civilization that accompanied all of it.
