Footage circulating on social media on Thursday showed Israeli soldiers using a trebuchet to launch incendiaries at Lebanon, to spark fires on the other side of the border.

The Lebanon border area has dense vegetation, which poses a challenge to Israeli forces.

It is believed such fires are intended to aid the army in identifying terrorists trying to infiltrate Israel or carry out attacks on the border.

Supreme Court Rejects Challenge To Abortion Pill In Setback For Pro-Life Movement

The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a challenge to the abortion pill in a significant setback for the pro-life movement.

In a unanimous 9-0 ruling, the justices rejected a lawsuit from a group of doctors opposed to abortion who were pushing for more restrictions on mifepristone, one of two drugs frequently taken together to cause an abortion.

The ruling means mifepristone pills can continue to be mailed to patients without seeing a doctor in person.

U.S. Navy Forced To Medically Evacuate Crew After Cargo Ship Hit By Multiple Missiles

The United States Navy had to rescue a crew member on a cargo ship that came under attack by Iranian-backed terrorists on Thursday in the Gulf of Aden.

The Houthis hit the M/V Verbena — a Palauan-flagged, Ukrainian-owned, Polish-operated bulk cargo carrier — with two anti-ship cruise missiles (ASCM), causing damage and fires aboard the ship.

“The crew continues to fight the fire. One civilian mariner was severely injured during the attack,” U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement. “Aircraft from USS Philippine Sea (CG 58) medically evacuated the injured mariner to a partner force ship nearby for medical attention.”

Judge Blocks Biden’s Transgender Title IX Rules In 4 States

In a major blow to the Biden administration’s new Title IX guidelines forcing public schools to allow trans-identifying males in girls’ bathrooms and sports, a federal judge on Thursday blocked the rules in four states.

U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty, a Trump appointee, issued a preliminary injunction against the rules, calling them an “abuse of power” by federal agencies and a “threat to democracy.”
