Could Donald Trump Finally Dismantle The Deep State? Ronald Pestritto Thinks So.

When Democrats want to slam their political opponents, they resort to a kind of linguistic reductionism. Everyone to their right is a neocon, or alt right, or MAGA, or a Christian nationalist, or whatever the popular term of art is at the moment.

Republicans have the opposite problem. For years, they’ve used “liberal,” “leftist,” and progressive” interchangeably. Today things are even further obfuscated by more specific but still somewhat vague concepts like “DEI,” and of course, the ever-evocative but incredibly diffuse “woke.”

Putting God back in ‘degraded’ US Chaplain Corps: Hegseth axes pagan codes and New Age guides

Earlier this week, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced that he would be overhauling yet another aspect of the military: the Chaplain Corps.

On Tuesday, Hegseth explained a directive that will effectively overhaul the United States Chaplain Corps, “the spiritual and moral backbone of our nation’s forces” that, for hundreds of years, “ministered” to the “souls” of American servicemen and women, as he explained in the video.

‘The Devil Is In The Details’ Of Bill C-9: Canadian Gov’t Demonizes The Bible As ‘Hateful,’ Revokes Long-Standing Religious Exemption

Despite outcry from Church leaders and Conservative MPs, the Canadian Parliament on Tuesday passed an alarming amendment to remove long-standing religious protections from the country’s hate speech laws.

The ruling Liberal Party joined the Bloc Québécois in voting to approve the amendment, which removed text from the Canadian Criminal Code regarding hate crimes. The now-deleted text provided a religious exemption: “if, in good faith, the person expressed or attempted to establish by an argument an opinion on a religious subject or an opinion based on a belief in a religious text.”

South Carolina measles outbreak ‘accelerating,’ driving hundreds into quarantine

The measles outbreak in South Carolina is “accelerating” with no end in sight following Thanksgiving and other large gatherings, state health officials said Wednesday.

As of Wednesday, 111 measles cases had been reported in what’s known as upstate South Carolina — an area in the northwest of the state that includes Greenville and Spartanburg.

“We are faced with ongoing transmission that we anticipate will go on for many more weeks,” Dr. Linda Bell, state epidemiologist for the South Carolina Department of Public Health, said during a news briefing Wednesday.

Supreme Court rules NI’s Christian religious education is unlawful

The UK Supreme Court has ruled that the Christian-focused religious education and collective worship taught in Northern Ireland’s state-funded primary schools is unlawful.

The decision upholds a 2022 High Court judgement which found that the subject is not delivered in an objective, critical and pluralistic way.

The case was brought by a non-religious father and his daughter, who argued that the curriculum and lack of a genuine alternative breached their human rights. The court said withdrawing children from RE or collective worship is not an adequate safeguard, especially when it may lead to pupils feeling singled out or excluded.

Washington School District Makes Families Jump Through Hoops to Send Kids to Bible Classes

First Liberty recently sent a letter to the Everett Public Schools Board in Washington on behalf of two LifeWise Academy program directors, Darcie Hammer and Sarah Sweeny. They’re asking the school district to stop discriminating against the organization and cease implementing burdensome policies against parents.

LifeWise Academy is a non-profit organization with a mission to bring Bible teaching to children in public schools through a release time program. Under the law, students can be released to receive religious education, as long as the program is off school property, privately funded and parents give their permission.

University Of California Mandates Students Conform To Gender Ideology To Remain Registered

Is calling a “transgender” person by their “deadname” or objecting to a man in a woman’s restroom sexual harassment? Well, the University of California thinks so—and they are trying to make sure all of their students also think so by including such ideology in mandatory sexual harassment and anti-discrimination training.

This training, called SHAPE (Sexual Harassment, Anti-Discrimination, Prevention and Education), is a prerequisite for registering for classes at several University of California campuses, including UC San Diego, UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UC Irvine.

No Digital ID, No Job?: Governments Accross The Globe Are Extending Their Reach Like Never Before

On September 26th, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said to the Global Progress Action Summit, “You will not be able to work in the United Kingdom if you do not have digital ID.”

Britain’s digital ID is not the biblical mark of the beast, but it’s a clear step in that direction. Revelation 13:1618, “He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

Chinese Genetics Lab Modifies Fungus Protein to Replace Chicken

A team of Chinese scientists has used CRISPR gene-editing tools to modify a species of fungus that can supposedly replace the protein provided by chicken, and purportedly even tastes like meat.

The fungus would ostensibly be much easier and cheaper to cultivate than chicken, with less land required and a reduced impact on the environment.

The breakthrough was first announced in an article entitled “Dual enhancement of mycoprotein nutrition and sustainability via CRISPR-mediated metabolic engineering of Fusarium venenatum,” published in the journal Trends in Biology on November 19.

Iran’s water woes: A textbook case of how civilizations end

The Akkadians. The Maya. The Tang Dynasty of China. The Chaco. The Indus Civilization. These diverse societies, separated by oceans and continents, each persisted for hundreds of years. They had large cities, transcendent architecture, organized agriculture, and regional power. Yet each ultimately collapsed. Their downfalls all looked a little different, but they shared one simple yet foundational contributor: a lack of water. Whether due to drought, mismanagement, or a combination of the two, these civilizations ran dry and died. It is for this reason that recent news out of Iran should not be ignored.
