Many of our trials are caused by ourselves.\u00a0 2 Cor 7:11 shows us that we cannot continue to go to God over the same sin(s). Godly sorrow works repentance to salvation. A seven point formula for effective repentance is discussed. These seven points are: 1. Diligence about our calling and not being casual about sin, 2. Seeking after a good name\/reputation, 3. Righteous anger to hate sin. 4. Having a proper fear and respect for God, 5. Have an intense desire to overcome on a daily basis, 6. Have zeal for the work of God, and 7. Recognize and correct what wrong personal actions and attitudes exist.<\/p>\n
